This art museum is the only gallery in Tokyo that displays the work of the artist Yumeji Takehisa (1884 to 1934), who was one of the foremost artists and poets of the Taisho era.
His portraits of the "Yumeji-style" beauties are especially famous and represent the aesthetics of the Taisho Romantic era. The collection changes every three months to study Takeshisa's work from different perspectives.
